Genesis 2nd Open Day Workshop

Due to constraints presented by the ongoing pandemic and the international crisis presented in Eastern Europe, the consortium elected to hold the event as an online event supported by a virtual exposition. This event was organised by the project coordinator Leitat. 113 participants registered for the event with a range of European and non-European participants.

Cambridge Nanomaterials Technology Ltd. (CNAT) as partner leader of the WP8 was in charge of organising the 1st Open Day Workshop. This workshop took place on the 24 November 2020, using ZOOM digital platform, duue to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The GENESIS Open Day Workshop had the participation of, 78 people who registered to this event, from which 45 belong to external organisations. External guests to this event, came from multinational organisations and leading technology companies such as: Total SE; ENGIE Laborelec; Baker and Hughes; Dyckerhoff GmbH; DENSO Automotive Deutschland GmbH, Aggreko; Marion Technologies; C-Capture; Radical Fibres Ltd; HyGear; GRAPHENE-XT SRL, Promethean Particles, 45-8 ENERGY; and leading universities and research organisations such as: Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), University of Manchester; TECNALIA, Rutgers University; University of Amsterdam; CNRS Université de Lorraine, Materials Research Institute – UNAM, National Technical University of Athens (NTUA); among others.
With the aim to enable clustering activities between projects, related projects were identified ahead of the Open Day and coordinators and key partners from these projects were invited to participate and present at the Open Day. Several representatives from these projects have participated in the workshop and members from MEMBER and CARMOF projects gave a presentation at the Open Day.
Participants came from 17 countries from around the world, in addition to the majority of participants from Europe, participants also came from USA, Mexico, India, Israel and Turkey.
